We need to stick to the basics or we lose sight of who we are and where we came from. It’s about recognizing that we cannot “successfully” engage in the behaviors that once gave us comfort, that is until we were nearly destroyed by them. Higher power in the morning, evening, gratitude, fellowship with other positive people, listening to positive message. If in 12 step, doing the step work and working with a sponsor.
